Massage is often thought of as just getting your sore muscles rubbed, and an hour of relaxation. Is that true? Yes, in most cases that is the sole reason people seek out a therapist. It feels good. Your sore muscles leave feeling better, and you’re more relaxed when you leave.
Are you getting the most out of the experience? Your muscles are, but are you? Has the session affected you, who you are, and has it healed you on a higher level?
Lomi Massage has the intent to create a place where you can feel safe and relaxed enough to allow healing to take place not just on the superficial level, but on a deeper more meaningful level.
I recently read some words that may help explain one of the values of Lomi.
- -Close your eyes.
-Imagine the best vision of yourself.
THIS IS WHO YOU ARE.
-During the session, let go of any part of you that doesn’t believe in that vision.
Those are very powerful words. This is a goal I set during my sessions – not only to heal the aches and pain that your body feels, but to also create a place where you can help yourself be that vision of your best self.
